Browsing and external services

This website runs on WordPress. The hosting service and security tools may process technical request information such as IP addresses and access logs. Links to treatment providers and source organisations take you to external websites with their own privacy terms.

Fonts and article illustrations

The design uses system fonts, so it does not request font files from Google. Article diagrams and the location photograph are served from this website. Diagrams summarise article concepts; they are not clinical assessment tools.

Keep sensitive information out of public channels

The site is intended for reading educational material, not submitting a medical history. Do not post health information in public comments or send it to an unrelated website. Share treatment information through the verified, appropriate channel of the clinician or provider you choose.

Images and page features

The site uses a locally hosted location photograph credited to its photographer. Location imagery illustrates the destination; it is not a photograph of a listed treatment centre. The site design does not add advertising pixels, newsletter forms or embedded provider booking forms.

Medical information and decisions

Content is general information. Services, guidance and availability may change. Confirm treatment information with a qualified professional and read the editorial standards for the limits of the initial content collection.

Editorial form submissions

The corrections form stores the page address, report text, optional supporting link and optional email in a private WordPress record accessible to the site administrator. An email is not required. These records are used to investigate publication issues and are not publicly displayed or automatically emailed elsewhere.

A temporary salted hash of the request IP is used to limit repeated submissions and expires after one hour; the form does not store the raw IP in the correction record. Hosting and security logs may separately contain technical request details. The site automatically moves correction records older than 180 days to trash; WordPress trash retention and hosting backups may retain copies for longer.

Do not include sensitive health details. To request removal of an identifiable submission, send a new editorial report identifying the earlier report without repeating sensitive information. No guaranteed response time is offered.
